Ovation Home Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one care in patients' homes in Gainesville, Florida. You will follow a patient-specific care plan, build trust with clients, and maintain detailed care records.

Strong communication is essential, and prior home health or hospice experience is a plus. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience in senior caregiving.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass AHCA background screening if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as transferring in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for clients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, preparing meals, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of client care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Give medication reminders.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.

We are looking for a Home Health Aid to join our team! You will directly work with clients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes.

You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program OR able to pass the Florida Home Health Aide competency test that we will administer prior to your interview.


• High School Diploma or GED


• Two years of prior experience in senior caregiving


• Valid driver's license


• Proof of auto insurance with your name on the policy


• Proof of current CPR certification (Valid means the CPR course was certified by the American Heart Association and includes in-person validation of your skills)
