Job summary

ModivCare is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one in-home care in Elizabeth and surrounding areas. You will support clients with daily activities, offer companionship, and help maintain a safe living environment. Weekend shifts are available and encouraged.

We value compassion, reliability, and honesty, and offer paid orientation, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling. English proficiency is preferred, and a valid NJ CHHA license is required to join our caring team.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ Board of Nursing Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license required.
• Willing to work in Elizabeth, Union and surrounding areas.
• Weekend availability required.
• English preferred; bilingual a plus.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort and companionship to clients in their homes.
• Assist with daily activities and mobility (dressing, bathing, meals); assist with transfers as needed.
• Support daily care such as dressing, bathing, toileting and meals.
• Maintain clean, safe and welcoming living spaces.
• Provide medication reminders and support healthy routines.
• Be a friendly, steady presence across diverse client homes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Bring comfort and companionship to clients in their homes
• Frequent standing and walking; assisting members with daily activities (dressing, bathing, and meals); bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting or supporting individuals
• Help with daily care — like dressing, bathing, toileting, and meals
• Keep living spaces clean, safe, and welcoming
• Offer medication reminders and support healthy routines
• Comfortable working in diverse client homes and respecting various personalities and behaviors.
