Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Portsmouth, OH is seeking a Hospice Home Health Aide (HHA) to support patients receiving end-of-life care. You will assist with daily activities, provide compassionate personal care, and help create a comfortable, safe home environment.

This role offers flexible schedules with full-time to part-time options, opportunities for skill-building through online training and CEUs, and a supportive team dedicated to patient well-being in a home setting.

Qualifications

• 12 months of experience in a healthcare role
• First Aid - Can provide if needed
• Valid Ohio driver’s license, auto insurance and your own transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to patients requiring end of life care
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
