Interim HealthCare of Loudoun is seeking Home Health Aides/Caregivers to help seniors live safely at home. You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and companionship, earning competitive pay and flexible schedules.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Virginia HCA registration, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and an empathetic approach are valued.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Virginia Home Care Aide (HCA) registration required.
• Six months healthcare experience preferred.
• Covid-19 vaccination card required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid I-9 documentation.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and ROM exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document conditions; notify supervisor of concerns.
• Create a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients with activities they enjoy (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies).

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in Virginia
• CPR certification
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Covid-19 vaccination card
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid I-9 documentation
• Current TB test or X-ray
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Companion / Dementia / Alzheimer experience is a plus

Salary:

• Job Types: Full-time & Part-time
• Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
