Job summary

Right at Home Nassau North Shore is hiring licensed HHAs and PCAs to join a caregiving team providing clinical expertise in the home for elderly clients in Nassau County. We are a top-rated agency with awards in the industry and a mission to improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, bathing, grooming, meals, and light housekeeping, with client-specific tasks guided by a Right at Home nurse.

Qualifications

• HHA/PCA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and insured auto is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with movement and walking.
• Bathe clients.
• Provide personal hygiene.
• Assist with continence and toileting.
• Help getting dressed and shaving.
• Assist with eating.
• Transfer from bed to chair.
• Prepare meals based on instructions and special diets.
• Accompany patient on errands and medical appointments.
• Perform housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, linens, laundry, bathroom).
• Client-specific tasks taught by a Right at Home nurse (med reminders, exercises, dementia care, incontinence).

Salary: Salary range is $19.65 - $23.00 per hour

Home Health Aide (HHA) and Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Responsibilities and Duties:

Licensed caregivers for the elderly (HHAs/PCAs) will provide the following types of services to our clients:

• Assist with activities of daily living

• Assist with movement and walking

• Bathe clients

• Provide personal hygiene

• Assist with continence and toileting

• Help getting dressed and shaving

• Assist with eating

• Transfer from bed to chair

• Prepare meals based on instructions and special diets

• Accompany patient on errands and medical appointments

• Perform housekeeping such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathroom

• Perform client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse includes, but is not limited to:
