Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide hands-on personal care to patients in their residences, supporting comfort and daily functioning under supervision of licensed clinical staff. You will follow individualized care plans and promote patient safety and independence.

Responsibilities include basic daily living tasks, maintaining a safe home environment, and documenting status changes. Training and benefits accompany competitive hourly wages in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Current state certification as a nurse assistant
• Current CPR certification
• CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, complete another training and competency program before providing services
• Must be able to pass the care center competency program

Responsibilities

• Obtains temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration
• Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment
• Assists patient with getting in and out of bed, bathing, hygiene, and toileting
• Prepares and provides/assists with meals
• Performs light homemaking and other environmental services
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status
• Understands body functioning and reports changes in patient functions
• Recognizes emergencies and implements care center policies
• Follows infection prevention, hazardous waste handling and safety procedures
• Follows written instructions for personal care per care plan
• Assists patient with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist
• Performs other duties as assigned
