Job summary

CareRing Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide in Germantown, Maryland. The role involves delivering quality home health care services to clients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. Candidates are expected to assist residents with daily living activities, engage them in socialization, and provide necessary care promptly.

The ideal candidate will have a current CNA license and a Maryland Home Health Aide license, along with a CPR certificate. Flexible hours and a supportive work environment are offered along with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in good standing.
• Maryland Home Health Aide license required.
• CPR certificate is mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily living activities.
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation.
• Responds promptly to resident needs.
• Observes residents for changes in condition.

The Home Health Aide delivers quality home health care services to the Agency’s clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist in accordance with physician orders, Agency and industry standards, and federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Observes residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports promptly to a licensed nurse
• Completes all forms and documentation such as incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested, and in a timely manner
• Prepares and serves meals, assists with eating, not including tube feeding
• Makes beds, empties garbage, and tidies rooms daily and as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferred
