Job summary

Senior Helpers of San Gabriel Valley is seeking caring individuals to join our in-home caregiving team. You will provide one-on-one personal care to help clients stay safe and independent at home, with duties matched to your area of expertise.

We offer flexible schedules, professional growth opportunities, and strong team support to ensure caregivers can balance work and life while making a meaningful difference for clients and their families.

Qualifications

• Proficient in communication methods such as text and email.
• Eligible to be an Home Care Aide (HCA) according to CDSS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Have engaging conversations with clients to build relationships and provide companionship.
• Participate in clients’ hobbies and activities to support social engagement.
• Prep meals for clients to enjoy and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist clients with walking, dressing, and other daily tasks.
• Report completed activities and updates on clients’ physical and mental condition.

Job Duties: What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrap booking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
