Job summary

Americare is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA)/PCA to assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and enhance well-being. You will provide personal care, monitor health indicators, and coordinate with families and care teams to keep patients safe and comfortable.

This role offers flexible 3–5 hour shifts, weekly pay, and benefits including health insurance, paid time off, sign-on bonus, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS HHA Certificate.
• Able to perform personal care and basic health tasks.
• Willing to work 3, 4 or 5 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding).
• Performing light housekeeping and grocery shopping.
• Preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition.
• Monitoring vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature).
• Assisting with basic health needs.
• Scheduling medical appointments and providing transportation.
• Offering companionship and engaging in activities.
• Keeping accurate records of patient care and health status.

Requirements :

• Must have NYS HHA Certificate
• Ability to care for patients with compassion
• Must be able to work 3,4 or 5 hour shifts.
• Must be able to provide annual physical, PPD & other compliance documentation

Must be able to pass NYS Department of Health Criminal History Record Check
