Cantex in Dallas, TX is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide personal care and health-related services in the client's home. You will assist with daily living tasks, maintain a safe and clean environment, and coordinate with the supervising RN.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Certified Home Health Aide Program.
  • 1 year of Home Health Aide experience in a home health agency.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid auto liability insurance.
  • Good communication with patients, caregivers, and clinical team.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis profile.
  • Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and Written Skills Test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under RN direction according to the Plan of Care.
  • Assist with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
  • Report changes and document care rendered to ensure continuity of care.
  • Practice infection control principles and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Promote respectful communication with patient, family, and staff.
  • Record clinical documentation in the medical record and participate in weekly case conferences.
  • Support proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake and manage time effectively.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth with in-services per year.
  • Ensure patient safety and contribute to quality of care.

Location:Dallas, TXJob Summary:The Home Health Aide provides personal healthcare and related services to the client in their place of residence, assists in providing a safe and clean environment, works cooperatively with patient and family, & shares observations and problems with the supervisor. The HHA works under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.This position will promote patients' potential during their home health episode and collaborates with physician, clinical team and patient in preparation for discharge.Qualifications:Completion of Certified Home Health Aide Program.1 year of Home Health Aide experience in a home health agency,Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.Good communication skills to be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, caregivers, and clinical team.Ability to read, write, and speak the English languageDemonstrates interest in the welfare of ill and elderly.Proof of current, CPR and Hepatitis profile.Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and Written Skills Test.Essential functions:Provide direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.Provide necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.Provide necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patient to ensure continuity of care.Practice accepted infection control principles.
