Job summary

Vertical Home Health in Columbus, IN is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our growing team. You’ll provide in-home support with a can-do attitude, friendly demeanor, and dedication to helping clients maintain independence and dignity.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends. Comprehensive benefits available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to learn new skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience as a Home Health Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly or post-surgery clients (showering, dressing, feeding).
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Shop for or accompany clients on shopping trips; perform housekeeping as needed.
• Report any incidents promptly and assist during emergencies.
• Support daily living activities and meal service as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
