Job summary

Vertical Home Health is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our team in Indiana. The role involves providing personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, meal preparation, and basic housekeeping to our clients in a one-on-one setting.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of healthcare or in-home care experience, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to work nights or weekends. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation daily
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends
• High school diploma required or equivalent
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries by attending to basic needs such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meals and related tasks

• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so

Qualifications

• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
