Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a customer service-oriented team member to provide outstanding service in a store environment in Idaho. You will assist customers, answer questions about products, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming department area.

Responsibilities include promoting a positive shopping experience, knowing the department products, and supporting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while adhering to quality standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products in the department and respond to inquiries with recommendations.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items they inquire about.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions in Drug GM and Home.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Review sell-by dates and take action as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Assist with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report any maintenance needs.
• Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity as required.
