Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a friendly and motivated retail associate to assist customers in selecting and purchasing home furnishings. You will help customers find items that meet their needs, explain features and prices, and ensure accurate checkout and delivery arrangements.

In this role, you will maintain a clean sales floor, process orders, and use the CRM system to track customer information and follow up on sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months experience in practical retail sales or related training/education provides the needed knowledge and abilities.
• Ability to review customer needs and advise on quality, style, or value of home furnishings to match requirements.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools and CRM software to manage customer records and sales activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Advise customers on quality, style, or value of home furnishings and help choose appropriate items.
• Maintain sales area cleanliness, stock shelves, and manage price tags and discounts as needed.
• Enter customer information and sales data into the CRM system and follow up on credit applications and deliveries.
• Handle customer inquiries in person or by phone and resolve complaints regarding delivery or product issues.
