Job summary

Builders FirstSource is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Driver for the Kennewick, WA yard. You will safely transport building materials to customer locations and provide excellent service, with home every night.

The role requires DOT compliance, safe driving, load securement, and accurate delivery documentation. Candidates should have at least 1 year of delivery experience, a valid Class A CDL, and be able to obtain a DOT medical card quickly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card within five days of request.
• Acceptable MVR with fewer than five moving violations in the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver products to customer locations according to scheduled routes.
• Load and/or assist with loading products and secure cargo for safe transport.
• Position vehicles for loading and unloading and verify proper equipment placement.
• Assist customers with unloading materials while protecting products and property.
• Verify order accuracy by comparing delivered items against invoices and shipping documents.
• Complete delivery documentation including mileage, locations, quantities, and weights.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with customers during deliveries and provide outstanding service.
• Respond to inquiries and help resolve delivery-related concerns promptly.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain DOT compliance records.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety regulations and participate in safety meetings.
