Job summary
A&J Plumbing and Sewer Service seeks a Plumbing & Service Technician to handle drains and plumbing of all kinds, educating potential clients with choices and options. You will inspect, diagnose, and service sewer lines, drains, and underground piping using a sewer cleaning machine and hand tools.
Essential duties include removing roots and debris, repairing piping, installing equipment, and calculating job costs.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English well enough to read and prepare invoices, timesheets and proposals.
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and ability to apply them on each job.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Responsibilities
- Remove roots, debris, and other refuse from clogged sewer lines and drains using a portable electric sewer cleaning machine.
- Repair breaks in underground piping and install/repair components to maintain watertight joints.
- Estimate costs for service and communicate options to customers; ensure safe work area per company policy.
