A&J Plumbing and Sewer Service is seeking a Plumbing & Service Technician to handle drains and plumbing for residential customers. You will educate clients on options and perform service calls from your home area.

Responsibilities include removing obstructions, repairing underground piping, installing cleaning equipment, measuring and inspecting lines, and estimating job costs. A safety-focused, customer-service oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local plumbing codes and practical application on each job.
• Ability to read and write English well enough to read invoices and proposals.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Remove roots, debris from clogged sewer lines using portable cleaning machine.
• Repair breaks in underground piping and service trenches.
• Remove drain covers using a wrench.
• Install rotary knives on flexible cable for cleaning pipes.
• Measure distance to suspected breaks and inspect with snake or tape.
• Replace broken tile or pipe and seal joints watertight.
• Estimate service costs for customers.
• Keep a safe work area per company policy.
