Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA) is seeking a part-time Home Delivered Meals Dock Coordinator/Driver in the Omaha area. You will prepare routes at the caterer location and deliver noon meals to homebound seniors, coordinating with drivers and volunteers to ensure meals reach clients on time.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, car insurance, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Must possess a valid motor Vehicle Operator’s License from the State of residence (Nebraska or Iowa) or become licensed in that state within 30 days of date of hire.
• Must have good driving record (no moving violations within last twelve months or chargeable accidents within last two years, as verified through the DMV in each state of residence during that time period).
• Must not have been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) within the last five years.
• Must have a car and State required car insurance.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Must report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Successfully complete all required pre-service orientation and training.
• Must insure confidentiality of all client information and act in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle, including cargo size van.
• Deliver meals to homebound elderly.
• Oversee the distribution of meals by route at the food caterer location.
• Prepare food carriers for meal packing.
• Assist in obtaining full coverage of all routes.
• Complete time sheets and mileage forms and submit to supervisor on a timely basis.

Job TitleHome Delivered Meals Dock Coordinator/DriverHours Required26.25Job Description and HoursThe Home Delivered Meals Dock Coordinator/Driver is responsible for preparing routes at the food caterer location for meals distribution by the Home Delivered Meals drivers and volunteers. This position is also responsible for delivery of noon meals to homebound elderly in the southwest Omaha area.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Must report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.2. Successfully complete all required pre-service orientation and training.3. Must insure confidentiality of all client information and act in accordance with HIPAA regulations.4. Ability to understand and comply with various laws, rules, regulations, policies and guidelines as they pertain to both ENOA and ENHSA.5. Be a strong team player with positive attitude and maintain effective work relationships with ENOA staff, the catering service staff, the clients and the general public.6. Ability to operate a motor vehicle, including cargo size van.7. Deliver meals to homebound elderly.8. Ability to read city maps and correctly identify addresses of meal program clients.9. Oversee the distribution of meals by route at the food caterer location.10. Prepare food carriers for meal packing. Work with food caterer staff to ensure the proper diet and correct meal counts for each route.11. Assist in obtaining full coverage of all routes.12. Complete time sheets and mileage forms and submit to supervisor on a timely basis.13. Notify Home Delivered Meals central office staff when difficulties in delivery of meals occur.14.
