Job summary

Dohrn Transfer is seeking a Full Time Class A Driver for our Peru, IL Terminal. Earn $31.70/hr, increasing to $32.97/hr after year one, with a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 12p start).

Responsibilities include driving a tractor-trailer between customer locations, loading/unloading, securing loads, and maintaining logs in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 23.
• 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Pass road test by Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer.
• Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements by deadline.
• One valid CDL from resident state.
• No DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving in last 5 years.
• Maintain acceptable MVR.
• DOT physical and drug screen required.
• No substancetest history in past 3 years.
• 10-year work history check.
• Must read/write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer to deliver and pick up freight.
• Load/unload cargo, secure freight as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain logs and company records as required.
• Interact professionally with customers and co-workers.
