Job summary

PITT OHIO, a family-owned transportation company, is seeking a Class A Linehaul Driver at the Glen Burnie, MD location. This role offers home daily schedules with overnight road operations, competitive pay, and robust benefits.

Responsibilities include safe driving, occasional customer deliveries, loading/unloading assistance, freight securing, and meticulous record-keeping to meet regulatory requirements. A strong safety history is required.

Qualifications

• Two years verifiable interstate driving experience (≈200,000 miles) or one year plus diploma from an approved driving school.
• Must pass a PITT OHIO driving test.
• Hazardous materials and tank endorsements or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Must hold a valid CDL license for the driver’s state without recent suspensions.
• Consent to DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• No open FMCSA Clearinghouse violations; stringent safety history required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely during overnight hours, terminal-to-terminal or relay-point trips, then return home.
• Home daily; Monday–Friday night shifts with occasional weekends.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight at terminals as needed; may use pallet jacks, two-wheelers or forklifts.
• Secure freight via strapping or other methods; inspect vehicle for defects and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain logs and records as required by state and federal regulations; ensure HAZMAT compliance.
