Job summary

PITT OHIO is hiring a Class A Linehaul Driver- HOME DAILY in the Indianapolis area. The role involves overnight linehaul work, terminal-to-terminal moves, and occasional local deliveries. Expect to maintain logs, safety checks, and compliance with hazmat rules while enjoying home daily schedules.

The position offers competitive pay plus benefits, and requires a clean driving record, CDL-A, HazMat endorsement or eligibility, and successful completion of a company driving test.

Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable interstate driving experience (approx. 200,000 miles) or one year plus a driving school diploma.
• Must pass a PITT OHIO driving test administered by an approved trainer or designee.
• Hazardous material and tank endorsement or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Only one valid license; provide information on previous licenses for past 36 months.
• No driving license suspensions or revocations in last 36 months.
• No disqualifying citations or convictions in last 36 months per list.
• DOT physical required and pre-employment drug screen.
• Consent to a ten-year work history check.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor/trailer safely during overnight hours, terminal to terminal or relay point to home terminal.
• Home daily, Monday–Friday with possible weekend work; occasional customer deliveries.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight using dock tools when required.
• Secure freight by strapping or other methods and conduct vehicle inspections.
• Maintain driver logs and records per state/federal regulations; comply with hazmat rules.
• Adhere to DOT and company policies and federal, state, local regulations.
