Job summary

CarMax in North Houston, TX is seeking a Fleet Driver I to move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors. You will perform pre-trip inspections, keep DOT logs, and deliver cars on schedule to support inventory flow and customer needs.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork with routes designed to get you home daily. A valid CDL A and 2+ years of driving experience are required, along with the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Valid state CDL A license.
• 2+ years CDL driving experience.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA qualification requirements.
• Ability to perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move vehicles between CarMax locations and vendors using company truck.
• Deliver vehicles on time to support inventory flow and store schedules.
• Represent CarMax professionally when interacting with vendors and stores.
