Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Fleet Driver I in Indianapolis to transport vehicles safely and on time, supporting inventory flow and store operations.

This role offers a stable schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the chance to work outdoors, with CDL required and proper DOT compliance.

You'll perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and represent CarMax professionally while maintaining logs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older with a valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and secure loads.
• Must be able to climb, bend, and kneel to access vehicles.
• DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• 2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles safely.
• Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors.
• Deliver vehicles on time to support inventory flow.
• Interact professionally with vendors and store staff.
