Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a truck driver in Fort Wayne, IN to deliver materials to customers and assist with loading and unloading. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm or route completion, home daily with no nights or weekends.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL-A or CDL-B, be at least 21, and have 1–3 years of commercial driving experience. Pre-employment drug and background screening are required. Forklift experience is a plus and reliable communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL(A) or CDL(B).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1–3 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical card.
• Experience using forklifts or material handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers, assist with loading/unloading and ensure delivery ticket is provided.
• Pick up customer returns and validate product match for credits.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; report issues.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment; receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material.
• Ability to work overtime as needed; comply with PPE and safety guidelines.
