Job summary

The Arc of Centre County is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with IDD/AD. You will help with daily routines, community outings, transportation, and building meaningful relationships in-home and in the community.

Starting pay is $18/hour with shift differentials, a $1,200 sign-on bonus, and paid training. This role may require access to a personal vehicle; mileage is reimbursed if used for transport.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• TB test and physical.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with physical supports.

Job Title: Home and Community Services (HCS) Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Pay: $18/hour + Shift Differentials + $1,200 Sign-on Bonus

Location: Bellefonte, PA

Schedule: Full-Time, open availability

No Experience Needed (all training is paid!)

Get paid to help people with disabilities live more independently. You'll help with daily routines, community outings, transportation, and building real relationships. Although agency vehicles are available, this role may require access to a personal vehicle for transportation needs.

This is an anticipated opening. The position is subject to approval and may not be filled immediately or at all.

Schedule & Pay

• Starting pay: $18/hour
• $1,200 sign-on/stay-on bonus
• Additional $1/hour shift differentials for late nights, weekends, and holidays (differentials can stack!)
• Opportunities to pick up extra shifts and overtime (time-and-a-half)

Required Qualifications

• 18+ years of age

• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A)
• Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, human services, or healthcare

• You may be required to use a personal vehicle to take individuals to activities
• Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile
• Any increase in insurance costs are reimbursed!

• Professional Training: We invest in our DSPs by supporting NADSP credentialing that recognize the important work they do every day. Eligible DSPs can earn an extra $1/hour per credentialed level, up to $3!
