The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Carlisle, Harrisburg, Mt. Holly, Mechanicsburg, and Duncannon, PA is seeking to hire a part time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals earn a competitive wage of $17.12/hour plus an additional $1/hour shift differential. Our team enjoys 60 hours of paid vacation during the first year of employment, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability.

A Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. You assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more. While supporting people with disabilities, you build strong relationships while learning their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes. This helps you to provide the best care. In this position, the work of supporting people with disabilities to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires is extremely rewarding!

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
