Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our residential team in North Carolina. You will diagnose, repair, and service forced-air furnaces, A/C, boilers, and related systems, delivering reliable comfort to customers with accuracy and clear communication.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems to ensure comfort and safety.
• Use diagnostic tools to resolve airflow, fuel, refrigerant, and electrical issues.
• Document work and manage truck inventory for timely flat-rate repairs.
• Educate customers on upgrades for comfort and efficiency.
• Mentor junior technicians and adhere to service processes.
• Maintain compliance with local codes and safety requirements.

Your Impact

• Deliver outstanding service through accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication at every visit.
• Service and repair residential systems including: forced-air furnaces and A/C, steam boilers, hot-water/hydronic systems, oil-fired equipment, high-velocity setups, and ductless mini-splits.
• Apply advanced diagnostic tools to resolve airflow, fuel, refrigerant, and electrical issues.
• Document all work thoroughly and manage truck inventory to ensure flat-rate repairs are completed without delays.
• Educate customers on comfort, safety, and efficiency upgrades tailored to their homes.
• Mentor and support junior service technicians to build a stronger team.
• Adhere to service-department processes and administrative requirements.

Is This You?
