Job summary

AbaCares Services in York, PA is seeking compassionate Direct Care Workers to support clients at home, including personal care, homemaking, and companionship. This role emphasizes safety, dignity, and tailored care plans.

You will work 40.38 hours per week with a schedule across weekdays and Saturdays, requiring a reliable vehicle and a respectful, patient approach. Prior care experience helps, CNA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Must pass a background screening and obtain required clearances.
• CNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and care to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Ensure clients' safety and well-being by monitoring their condition and reporting any changes.
• Follow care plans and service plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate client records.
