Job summary

Visiting Angels Reading is seeking an In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. Part-time and full-time positions available with day, evening, and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care, light housekeeping, meal planning, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments. Must have high school diploma and at least 6 months of experience; reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Reliability and professionalism are very important.
• Must enjoy assisting others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing and serving meals
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times
