Job summary

Assistance Plus seeks a dedicated Personal Support Specialist to assist clients with daily living activities in home settings within a 30-mile radius of your home in Maine. You will follow client service plans, observe changes, and promote safety and infection control while assisting with personal care and light housekeeping.

You will coordinate transportation, meal support, and documentation, ensuring respectful, high-quality client care and adherence to schedules and plan requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Proven ability to assist with ADLs and personal care.
• Must have access to email/internet.
• Valid Maine driver's license and proof of insurance.
• PSS certification training provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow client service plan and assist with personal care.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, nails, hair, skin and foot care.
• Assist with elimination, mobility, and transfers using devices.
• Provide transportation within a 30 mile radius as authorized.
• Meal planning, shopping, feeding prompts, and nutrition support.
• Light household duties and errands as needed.
• Observe and report changes in client status and behavior.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and infection-control practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
