Job summary

Guardian Angel Senior Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Home Care Scheduler to join our compassionate team. This full-time role offers daytime hours and two shift options, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with scheduling responsibilities across caregiver availability and client needs.

You will create and adjust caregiver schedules, match caregivers to clients by location and skills, and handle schedule changes to ensure uninterrupted care.

Qualifications

• Previous scheduling or home care experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Comfortable making calls and coordinating with caregivers and clients.
• Ability to problem-solve and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with scheduling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain caregiver schedules based on client needs and caregiver availability.
• Match caregivers with clients based on availability, skills, experience, and location.
• Handle caregiver call-outs, schedule changes, and coverage needs.
• Communicate with caregivers regarding their schedules, assignments, and availability.
• Communicate with clients and families regarding scheduling needs and changes.
• Monitor open shifts and proactively fill staffing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with caregivers and clients.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
• Work closely with the office and recruiting team to meet staffing needs.
• Help ensure continuity of care for clients.
