Job summary

Stand Out Home Care is seeking a Personal Care Provider (CNA) to deliver non-medical home care services in clients' residences. The role emphasizes activities of daily living, safety, and compassionate companionship according to each care plan.

Completion of required home care training and competency evaluation is required. Responsibilities include home safety, meal prep, light housekeeping, errands, transportation assistance, companionship, and meticulous documentation of visits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Free from communicable diseases, open skin lesions, or other health conditions that may interfere with job performance or client safety.
• Completion of required home care training and successful competency evaluation prior to providing direct client care.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Home Safety & Environment: Observe and help maintain a safe and secure home environment.
• Home Safety & Environment: Report mechanical, structural, or safety concerns to management.
• Household & Errand Support: Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and dishwashing.
• Household & Errand Support: Perform shopping and errands as outlined in the care plan.
• Household & Errand Support: Assist clients with appointments and community activities.
• Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide companionship, conversation, and social interaction.
• Companionship & Emotional Support: Offer emotional reassurance and encouragement.
• Companionship & Emotional Support: Promote mental stimulation through reading, writing, and engaging activities.
• Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hair care, shaving (electric or safety razor only), and general nail care.
• Personal Care & ADLs: Assist with toileting, incontinence care, pericare, bedpans, urinals, and commodes.
• Personal Care & ADLs: Empty urinary collection devices and ostomy bags as outlined in the care plan.
• Personal Care & ADLs: Assist with feeding and hydration.
• Personal Care & ADLs: Provide assistance with exercise and mobility as specified in the service plan.
• Personal Care & ADLs: Assist with ambulation for weight-bearing clients using assistive devices.
