Brookdale Senior Living in Juneau, AK is seeking a healthcare leader to oversee the Brookdale at Home agency within a senior housing community. You will manage 10–20 associates, supervise staffing, coach performance, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality programs.

You'll drive training, budgeting, service delivery, and billing coordination while maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, and community staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in healthcare.
• LPN or RN preferred; at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Apply existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within the department.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associated with a Brookdale Senior Housing community, overseeing 10 to 20 associates and ensuring efficient operations.
• Perform direct management of all associates, including scheduling, coaching, counseling, performance evaluations, and maintaining adequate staffing coverage.
• Motivate associates through appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs, and resolve grievances.
• Provide orientation, training, and education to staff in classroom, in-service, and situation-specific formats.
• Ensure community and corporate policies are disseminated and followed by all associates.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual agency budget.
• Coordinate with community associates and administrators on service implementation, monitoring, and clinical programs per state regulations.
• Maintain an effective Quality Assurance Program and prepare for state surveys and regulatory processes.
• Market the agency to appropriate audiences and coordinate clinical services as required.
• Oversee billing, scheduling of services, and delegation of such tasks; coordinate alternative resources for associates and families.
• Manage documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with guidelines; adhere to Safety and Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards.
• Keep current knowledge of national and state requirements for scope of practice, supervision, credentialing, and competency; assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow‑up of agency activities.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, residents, family members, and community personnel, and participate in community committees such as Daily Stand‑Up Meeting, Collaborative Care, and Resident Council.
• Handle on‑call duties after hours and weekends, responding to calls in a timely manner and providing coverage when associates are unavailable.
• Serve as a resource and manager for staff working beyond normal business hours.
