Job summary
Ignite Rehab (DBA Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy) seeks a motivated Per Diem Occupational Therapist to provide in-home care in Morris County, NJ. All experience levels welcomed; training provided for new graduates. Per visit pay ranges from $74 to $93.75. Flexible schedule; 1099 and W-2 options available.
OT will evaluate, plan, and deliver 1:1 therapy in patients' homes, supporting geriatric clients and traveling within the assigned geographic area. Join a collaborative, patient-focused team.
Qualifications
- Licensed OT in New Jersey or eligible.
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapist program.
Responsibilities
- Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area.
- Provide 1:1 treatment.
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Deliver care that aligns with professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed plan of care.
- Educate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques.
- Plan, and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function, relieve pain, and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.

- Occupational Therapist Program Graduate
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New Jersey or eligible.
- Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.
- Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the assigned geographic territory
- Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.
