Job summary

The Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens is expanding and seeking Homemakers to provide quality home care in Tazewell, Russell, Dickenson, and Buchanan Counties, VA. This role involves assisting elderly clients with daily tasks like cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping while offering companionship.

Applicants must be at least 18, possess a valid driver's license, and preferably have experience with the elderly or disabled. Competitive pay and flexible schedules are offered along with paid training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must have valid Social Security number, driver's license, and own transportation.
• Preferred one year of experience with the elderly or disabled.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly and disabled clients with meals, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and basic homemaking activities.
• Follow care plans authorized by the PACE Interdisciplinary Team.
