Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Living is hiring a Home Care Aide to provide basic care and social activities for residents, guided by the Care Plan. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, and prior caregiver experience is preferred.

A valid driver’s license may be required, and CPR is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication are essential, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to communicate with residents effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in all activities of daily living as assigned, while encouraging independence.
• Provides basic personal care and social activities as identified by the Care Plan.
• Performs light housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents, including organizing belongings and rooms.
• Transports residents to appointments and activities within the community.
• Reports changes in residents' condition to appropriate personnel.
• Documents care and treatment provided to residents.

Compensation from $15.00 to $16.00/hr - (based upon experience)

Part Time Day: 7am - 3pm | Rotating weekends and holidays

The Home Care Aide is responsible providing for the basic care needs and social activities of residents as identified by the Care Plan.

Qualifications

Expectations and Responsibilities

• Assists resident in all activities of daily living as assigned, while encouraging each resident to maintain his/her highest level of independence.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living (such as: meal preparation; medication reminders; grocery shopping; monitoring of food expirations, caring for pets, watering plans; providing individual companionship and supervising daily personal care routine.
• Performs light housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents, including: organizing resident belongings; organizing rooms; changing linens.
• Observes residents and report changes in physical, psychological, and emotional condition to appropriate personnel.
• Contributes to the development of the Service Plan for each resident.
• Documents the care and treatment provided to the resident.
• Transports residents to other areas of community, therapy and appointments.
• Escorts residents to outside physician appointments as assigned.
• May assist in clerical duties in Wellness Center.
