Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Living is seeking compassionate caregivers for PRN shifts, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed. The role supports residents with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and companionship to promote dignity and independence across our care communities.

Responsibilities include documenting care, coordinating with the Wellness Center team, and assisting with light housekeeping and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record may be required.
• Active CPR preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to assess and effectively communicate with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence.
• Assist with meals, reminders, shopping, and personal care.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents.
• Observe residents and report changes to appropriate staff.
• Contribute to development of each resident's Service Plan.
• Document care and treatments provided.
• Transport residents to appointments and escorts to outside visits.
• May assist in clerical duties in Wellness Center.
• Perform basic emergency care procedures.

Expectations And Responsibilities

• Assists resident in all activities of daily living as assigned, while encouraging each resident to maintain his/her highest level of independence.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living (such as: meal preparation; medication reminders; grocery shopping; monitoring of food expirations, caring for pets, watering plans; providing individual companionship and supervising daily personal care routine.
• Performs light housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents, including: organizing resident belongings; organizing rooms; changing linens.
• Observes residents and report changes in physical, psychological, and emotional condition to appropriate personnel.
• Contributes to the development of the Service Plan for each resident.
• Documents the care and treatment provided to the resident.
• Transports residents to other areas of community, therapy and appointments.
• Escorts residents to outside physician appointments as assigned.
• May assist in clerical duties in Wellness Center.
• Performs basic emergency care procedures.
