Job summary

Global Homecare Angels seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home personal care under RN supervision. You will support clients with hygiene, nutrition, mobility and daily activities while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

You will document visits, coordinate with nursing staff, and participate in care planning. A valid CNA license and CPR certification are required, as is the ability to work in clients' homes in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completed and up to date CPR certification is required.
• Must have a valid CNA license.
• Must be free from health problems that may affect client care and must provide evidence.
• Must understand basics of personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Must understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care.

Responsibilities

• Follows the plan of care to provide safe, competent care for the client.
• Helps the client maintain personal hygiene and a safe environment.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals.
• Assists the client with ambulation as approved.
• Encourages independence according to the care plan.
• Promotes mental alertness through activities of interest.
• Provides emotional support and confidentiality to client and family.
• Reports changes to the supervisor promptly.
• Performs routine housekeeping for a safe home.
• Prepares and files visit reports weekly.
• Coordinates weekly visit scheduling with staff.
• Works with other community agencies involved in the client's care.
• Attends required in-service training.
• Discusses client status with supervisor and participates in service planning.
