Job summary

Brio Living Services is seeking a Home Care Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide in-home care for participants in Monroe and surrounding counties. The role requires compassionate assistance with daily activities, mobility support, and basic health monitoring.

You'll travel between Washtenaw, Monroe, Western Wayne, Livingston, and parts of Oakland counties to deliver high-quality home-based care, with a schedule of 40 hours per week and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Certified Nurse Aide in Michigan.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Flexibility to provide coverage in the evening and on weekends.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly.
• CPR certification is desired or obtained within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care in patients' homes: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Maintain comfort and care: housekeeping tasks, laundry, grocery shopping.
• Assist with mealtime and ensure hydration.
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers.
• Take vital signs and monitor intake/output.
• Keep home clean, stocked, and organized for safety and comfort.
• Respond with kindness and professionalism, protecting confidentiality.
• Communicate changes in condition to supervisors promptly.

Description

Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm | Monday - Friday, one weekend per month required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Hands‑On Care in Their Home – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.


• Maintain Comfort & Care – Support housekeeping tasks such as laundry, sweeping, and grocery shopping.


• Support Mealtime – Help participants enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.


• Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.


• Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.


• Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well‑stocked with essentials.


• Provide Responsive Support – Respond with kindness and compassion.


• Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.


• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top‑notch care.
