Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Santa Monica is seeking a Home Care Aide (HCA) — PRN / Part-Time to provide compassionate in-home support for clients in Santa Monica, CA. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and help maintain safety and independence in clients' homes.

We encourage bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) and offer flexible scheduling, quick onboarding, and ongoing training. Join a team dedicated to high-quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Proof of current 2-step TB testing or ability to obtain.
• Current CPR / First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Must be bondable and pass a national criminal background check.
• Satisfactory professional and personal references.
• Ability to complete orientation and online training modules.
• Physical ability for light to moderate exertion.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Support meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping
• Provide medication reminders and monitor client well-being
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting to the office
• Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and dress code policies
• Report changes in a client’s condition promptly
• Clock in and out using our mobile app or assigned timekeeping method
