Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide in-home care services on weekends in the Rocky Mount area. You will follow client care plans, assist with daily self-care activities, and help with basic tasks while maintaining safety and infection control.

Position requires at least 6 months of caregiving experience, ability to read and write, and being 18 or older. Training on EVV timesheets and proper documentation will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Following client care plans and completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assisting clients with self-care activities such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, and oral hygiene.
• Providing limited transfers using equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and infection-controlled environment.
• Performing secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep as needed.
• Respecting client confidentiality and privacy, and adhering to scope of practice.
• Monitoring client conditions, notifying supervisors of any concerns, and ensuring safety protocols.
• Assisting with self-administration of medications without direct administration.
• Reporting any abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
