Job summary

Touching Hearts at Home of Central VA is seeking full-time and part-time Home Care Aides to provide personalized one-to-one care in clients' homes. You will support daily living tasks, assist with transportation, and ensure safety and companionship as part of a compassionate, client-centered care plan.

The role emphasizes dignity and independence, with training available and a welcoming, supportive team environment. Prior caregiving experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Not all caregiver positions require a certification. We are looking for people whose personal and professional life shows a compassionate heart for older adults, excellent customer service, and creative problem-solving.
• Valid driver's license in the state of application.
• The ability to provide a reliable, insured vehicle to use on the client's behalf for all scheduled shifts and to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts.
• The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• We are a drug-free workplace. We complete a criminal background and driving record check before hiring.

Responsibilities

• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
