Job summary

Clayton Homes in Athens, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member for our shiplap production line. This full-time, on-site role supports the home building process by following standard production methods, maintaining safety and quality, and working in a collaborative team to meet production goals.

You will read basic drawings, assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator, and adapt to multiple departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving productivity objectives.
• Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting maintenance needs, and keeping areas clean.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize manufacturing activities, communicating material shortages and quality issues.
