Job summary

Helio Health, Inc. seeks a Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Interventionist for Madison County, NY. The role supports children with behavioral health needs, delivering in-home, short-term therapy to prevent out-of-home placement or hospitalization.

Licensure under LMHP is preferred or a master’s-level clinician with relevant experience. The position offers a sign-on incentive up to $8,000 based on licensure, strong emphasis on safety planning, coordination of services, and family-centered

Qualifications

• Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) preferred, e.g., LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCAT, LMFT.
• Unlicensed Master’s level applicant with at least one year experience in children’s community-based mental health may be considered.
• Valid driver's license and transportation required; auto insurance minimums must be met.

Responsibilities

• Creates positive, collaborative relationships with families and children.
• Completes initial assessment for planning and safety/wellness planning.
• Teaches family skills through education, modeling and coaching.
• Provides in-home short-term treatment addressing immediate needs.
• Develops plans with families to address barriers and promote long-term success.
• Delivers treatment based on evidence-based practice used by the program.
• Coordinates services across systems relevant to the child/family’s success.
• Fosters community connections based on strengths, skills and interests.
• Makes proactive contacts with emergency and inpatient services to plan and reduce time in those settings.
