Job summary

LEAP Life Enrichment Advancing People is seeking compassionate individuals or families to become Shared Living Providers for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism in Franklin, Oxford, Androscoggin, Somerset, and Kennebec Counties, Maine.

Providers operate as independent contractors and receive a daily stipend of $130, with training and guidance provided by LEAP. A private home and background screening are required to participate.

Qualifications

• Must pass required background screening.
• Home with private bedroom meeting safety and program requirements.
• Valid Maine driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, welcoming home environment.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Encourage independence, personal choice, and self-determination.
• Support community involvement and meaningful relationships.
• Assist with appointments, transportation, and community resources.
• Follow individualized support plans and documentation.
• Collaborate with LEAP's Shared Living team and case managers.
• Maintain compliance with MaineCare requirements and training.
• Training provided at no cost.
