Job summary

SuperCare Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist 1 to support patients with respiratory equipment in their homes. You will assess patient needs, select therapy, and educate families on equipment use while documenting care plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, managing plans of care, and providing on-call coverage. The role offers opportunities to advance to RT-2 after one year based on performance and leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited RT care program and be licensed RCP.
• Experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receives and documents the order for respiratory equipment and services.
• Assesses the need of the patient and selects best therapy or service.
• Instructs patients and caregivers on proper equipment use.
• Communicates with physician about changes in patient condition and adjusts care plan.
• Completes Plan of Care paperwork and assessments.
• Acts as liaison between patient, family, caregiver and physician.
• Provides 24-hour on-call service, seven days a week.
• Sets up respiratory equipment to meet appointment ETA.
• Supports other departments as needed.
