Job summary

Nurse Next Door Coeur d'Alene is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home-based care team. You will help clients improve mobility, independence, and quality of life while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in clients' homes.

Ideal candidates are licensed in Idaho, with a PTA program graduate, current BLS/CPR, and the ability to work independently under a PT plan. This role offers flexible schedules and meaningful, community-focused work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Idaho PTA license in good standing.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Proof of personal liability insurance, if required.
• Ability to work independently in a home-care setting with a PT plan.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to complete electronic documentation accurately.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes within service area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical therapy treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist, including exercises and mobility training.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and home programs.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of treatments and progress.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support high-quality patient care.
