Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a registered nurse to provide and supervise direct patient care while coordinating education, self-management, and satisfaction across the care continuum.

The role requires an approved nursing degree, active licensure, and English proficiency, with strong collaboration across interdisciplinary teams and adherence to VA policies. Monday–Friday schedule with potential for extended duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by appropriate accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE).
• Current, full, active nursing license in a U.S. state or territory.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Eligibility for licensure/bridge programs as applicable for Veterans Affairs.
• Knowledge of VA Handbook 5005 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all elements of the nursing process in direct patient care and supervision.
• Coordinate patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the continuum of care.
• Administer medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to influence care outcomes.
