Job summary

CDR in Williamsburg, VA is hiring an Early Head Start Home-Based Parent Educator. You will partner with families of infants and toddlers through home visits, parent-child learning experiences, group socializations, and family partnership services to support child development and family well-being.

The role blends independent work in family homes with collaboration at the Family Resource Center and community locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Home‑Based CDA credential or comparable credential.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers and families in home visiting, parent education, early childhood, family support, or human services.
• Knowledge of infant/toddler development, responsive caregiving, parent–child relationships, family‑centered practice, adult learning, health, and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an assigned Early Head Start home‑based caseload and conduct home visits per program requirements.
• Schedule visits with families and document visits and contacts promptly.
• Use family homes as the primary learning environment, respecting culture, language, strengths, and priorities.
• Partner with families to develop and document Family Partnership Agreements and progress toward goals.
• Coordinate with EHS staff and community partners to support continuity of services.
