Job summary

Youth Service Bureau seeks a Home Based Caseworker to support children and families in Jay and Blackford counties. The role is part-time with potential growth to full-time and requires a valid driver’s license for local travel.

Candidates should have a degree (or equivalent experience) and demonstrate empathy, organizational skills, and flexibility. Evening hours and occasional on-call duties are possible.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree (Bachelor or Master) from an accredited university.
• Alternate path: HS/GED/Associate with 4 years direct casework experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use private car; insurable.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive services to children and families to help them meet their greatest potential.
• Conduct supervised visitations between children and families.
• Proficient use of computer skills including Word/Excel; maintain documentation.
• Face-to-face time: minimum 26 hours (full-time) or 65% (part-time) per week.
• Provide 24-hour on-call crisis intervention when needed.
• Coordinate services and act as liaison for courts, schools, therapists; attend hearings.
